Akkulam as RAMSAR along with SWAK

• SWIM researched and compiled data in collaboration with State Wetlands Authority Kerala (SWAK) under Department of Forest, Environment and CC, Kerala
• Worked to collect the Ramsar information for Veli- Akkulam and Vellayeni in Trivandrum district which is on its way to Gland, Switzerland to be declared as a Ramsar site
• Ramsar declaration after over 2 decades. Last Ramsar in Kerala was declared in 2002
